I have appointments, I have open houses, I have parties, and I have a day ski trip. Oi oi oi.
This correspondence thing is not going well. Failed the first module. Should really find out about having to pay back that grant.
Anyways I go skiing on sunday. First time in like 7 years. Oh god... If I don't write another post for a long time, I either killed myself skiing or am severely injured.
As for parties... an old roommate is moving back to Edmonton. Party for him on Saturday night. Birthday party for Bri is the same night! good thing they are both on jasper. too bad they are 15 blocks apart :(
Open house at GMCC... could i get really get into nursing? I guess we find out soon. Appointment at Concordia about upgrading... Can I really upgrade in a strictly christian environment? Oi

hopefully have an action packed weekend next weekend. open house at GMCC on saturday, bri's birthday celebrations saturday night, skiing on sunday. sleep for 3days. then work wednesday at 11pm yay!

After four weeks of working nights I finally have my first day shift today. And of course I have to be up in 2hrs and I sure can't sleep. I tried I really did. First at about 9am, (got off work at 8am), laid their for an hour, nothing. Went over to Squairs for lunch. Tried again at about 1230pm. Wasn't gonna happen. Got a few minutes on the way home from gospel meeting this afternoon but it was a very bumpy nap. Stupid nights. A co-worker was looking at the schedule and said, You must be a sucker for punishment. At least going to an evening after nights isn't too bad. But a day right after, man oh man.

Anyways. At least the weather hasn't been too bad and no major major incidents at work. Been kinda nice that I have been able to avoid the higher ups. Things just are not going very well, we are so short and people are cranky, residents are cranky. Lots of little things are getting missed. Quite frankly I am getting kinda tired of constantly having to clean up coffee stains in the staff room b/c ppl can't grab a paper towel and wipe up their spill.

I ordered new glasses at the Wal-Mart on Friday. Time to get away from the black frames. Will post a pic when I have them. Hopefully they are ready on Tuesday. B/C i don't really wanna go back again later this week when I don't have time. Have an ultra sound tomorrow for my arm. Maybe this simple test will be able to find out with the EMG studies didn't.

I think I should eat and go back to bed for a couple hours seeing as how i work in 3hrs. Good thing its only a short shift. I will not be staying even if they ask me. I don't have the freaking energy.

Meatloaf 2...

Well I picked up my Meatloaf ticket the other day!! I was sooo excited!! You have like NO idea! Like I said earlier it was stupidly expensive but boy am I looking forward to it. I got like Gold club seats. yay me! Its not the greatest pic but ya get the gist of it. Anyways must finish paying bills. YAY me!

Meatloaf is coming to edmonton!!!!

I have always said that if Meatloaf came to Alberta that I would go! Now Meatloaf is coming to Edmonton!!! YAY!!!! March 4 cannot come soon enough. I bought my ticket today. Stupidly expensive of course, but dude, its Meat! And it’s a really good seat too. Sect 102, Row 2! I mean other than floor seats, could you get any better??
Anyways I got off work at 8am and man I need to sleep but I am WAY too excited. So Im gonna watch Rocky Horror Picture Show and Wayne’s World. Two movies that Meatloaf had small parts in. Oooh Meatloaf, I only know 3 of your many albums, but you are my hero.

So terribly sorry I haven't written in forever. I've been sick and working way too much. So G wanted to hear about this diamond.

Brian, who've I've known for about 5 and half years, who've I dated several times over these 5 and half years, who've I've loved and hated repeatedly, gave me a promise diamond for Christmas. We probably won't be getting married until Im close to being finished nursing school (if I get my butt in gear and finish biology before June!! and of course get into nursing school)
The diamond came on a necklace, not in the form of a ring as one would think. His reasoning behind this is that the diamond will be added to 2 others in a 3 stone setting engagement ring. Kinda funny tho that I told him years ago that if he bought my ring at Wal-Mart, that would be ok. But then this fall I showed him the ring I like at Tiffany's and well... definitely not the same ring but oh my god the man is nuts.

So G, that is the story of the diamond....

Back to more exciting news from hickville. Its CCCCCOOOOOLLLLLDDDDDD. The wind last night got soo bad that it knocked out power for about 2.5hrs. Man it was cold in my house.
The sound of the wind rattling the plastic on my windows just about drove me nuts. I packed a little bag and was gonna run over (get carried by the wind over) to my grammas. I don't do power outtages in the middle of winter very well. Or the wind shaking my house so badly that the flame of my candle was going absolutely nuts. And apparently this isn't the worst its gonna get. I think I shall be hiding in grammas basement tonight, where if the power goes out, there is a wood stove that can be lighted.

Anyways Im going to crawl back into my bed and try to relieve this sinus pressure some how. So much pain and pressure. It feels like my head is going to explode.
