well that was a strange week

I shall start last wednesday/thursday ish .
I called my dad to talk to him about this offer we have on a house here in town. He says "I got something to tell you, I just wanted to keep you updated" So Im thinking, ok who died? "I have moved out, Arlee and I are not together any more." Initial reaction was WHAT THE HELL??? and I hung up. I was like after 16yrs of trying to break them up, it finally freaking worked.
Then I got shallow and was thinking, the bastard, screwing us outta the good family functions.
Then I was like evil wench drove him out! Apparently it wasn't even a marriage anymore. Anyone could see that.
So THEN i started what was to become a 7day scretch at work. I am very tired. I got called in on Tuesday b/c a few ppl went home sick or called in sick. Stupid flu that is going around. We have some very cranky residents. It might be the weather, it might be the beginnings of a major flu outbreak. Who knows.
Today I got a blast from the past. This guy that dad (Mr C, we shall call him) used to work with, his stepfather (Mr R) passed away a couple of days ago. Gramma was over at Mrs R's with lunch today and Mrs C and her son, who is just a measly 3days older than me, with who I used to have joint birthday parties with, were there. Gramma mentioned that I was living in town and in fact, just working across the street, so I was asked to go there after work. It was totally surreal. I haven't seen this kid since we were 8 or 9. But hey, we're still the height! And i feel like a dork b.c that is exactly what i said.
I had a good visit with Mrs C. My old hairdresser was there too. I had to ask Gramma the connection there and apparently Mr R was her uncle. Anyways I am kinda looking forward to going to this funeral so i can see just how tall Mr C really is. Cus he was very tall when I was little...

Ok Miss Meridith finally made up her mind. now hopefully mcdreamy doesn't end up being an ass. I need a mcdreamy but all the drs that work in this town are married or really old. argh. tho the one dr is looking for a nanny... hehe
anyways. i am getting realy frustrated with work. we are trying our damnedest to get to the ppl as quickly as we can but when we are soo short staffed it just doesn't work. residents who aren't supposed to be moving them selves from the wheelchair to the bed/easy chair/bathroom are doing just that. ppl are cranky with each other, some staff are getting on other staff's nerves. appparently typical LTC enviroment situation.
well lets see, socially my life kinda sucks too. no bf, no boy toy, no nothing. damn it i need prospects!!!
im seriously bored atm... so im leaving the puter

Yay for birthdays

today i finally got my birthday cake... i haven't eaten yet.. maybe later tonight.. maybe tomorrow for breakfast. gramma betty made it... it looks ok except for the walnuts on it. those will have to be removed.
work is still going ok. we've had 5 die since i started at the beginning of september. i think we are gonna loose a 6th soon. some is just old age, some is diseases like parkinsons, some is broken heart.
well sadly i am absolutely frozen so i am going to bed now....

One More Day

Well thanksgiving was fun. Whole dang family was there this time. there was 31 of us all together. Aunts, uncles, cousins, cousins new/future spouses. was craziness. My grampa got a little happy and started cleaning out his closet. LITERALLY. he gave my bro and my cousin (who are close to the same age) a couple jackets and some weird old hats. grampa had this pinkish ski suit and my aunt had one that matched it so they gave that to dustin and nicole (who are brother and sister). They plan on going snowboarding or skiing in their very cool retro suits. It was SOOO funny.
I didn't get no turkey! i am little disappointed. we had chinese from the ling nan. Gramma says next year we are going there for supper.. Much easier on her. I agree. Anyways
I got a decent haul for birthday presents. dad got me a pair of peach coloured scrubs from marks, arlee got me a book and a calender. My sisters got me socks, candles and a bath soak. Gramma took me shopping yesterday and i got a cute tweed blazer from rickis and pair of jeans. But i took the jeans back and got pants to go with the jacket instead.
I bought myself some pretty stuff too.
I got 2 more sets of scrubs. ON SALE!! $5 a peice for 3 peices and then one peice was 20$ but thats ok. I got a lapel watch with my name engraved. a shirt to go with the jacket and some other misc items. I think I faired very well.
I went and saw Trailer Park Boys The Movie. it was FUCKING awesome. Im gonna have to get it on DVD when it comes out. I dont' want to spoil the ending for anyone but julian really is a sweet guy.
So i gotta work tonight instead of tomorrow, which is totally ok means i don't really have to work for my birthday. I work 11-7 so i will be home to sing myself happy birthday at 8:04am.
I just realized that i gotta get to the bank before it closes to deposit my GST!!!

Man I gotta stop watching Kevin Smith movies. Clerks 2 was a really good movie until the end!! that was really ghey. Seriously!!! I am not impressed. the song selection was good tho. Misery-Soul Asylum.
So G- the lesbian thing... can we wait to see how things go AGAIN with Brian? Might be the slight chance we run into each other in the city. Its driving me crazy that i know i deserve better but I don't want better. And like why do we keep getting drawn back together? we have a fight, don't talk for a couple months and then like hook up when we see each other and then be all lovey dovey for awhile and then fight again. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So other than that.
Work is good. Social life sucks. Cell phone isn't working. Either gotta get a new one or maybe dad has one kicking around the house. Well if i have to buy a new phone it'll be between 100-200$. Im not getting anything fancy. not that my current one is that fancy. i only got it b/c it had a cam and had flashing LED's and was free.
So i head off to the city on sunday for 3 days.

• day one 2hr greyhound bus ride, hopefully new phone, a combined ETS/SCT bus ride, thanksgiving dinner, birthday cards
• day two shopping with gramma b/c its my birthday on wednesday, new phone if one isn't found on day one, hopefully meeting up with ppl
• day three SCT/ETS bus ride, 2hr greyhound bus ride.

Well that is my exciting life. I have 2 evening shifts before i leave. tonight and tomorrow night. speaking of which, i suppose i should refigure out my hours now that scheduling thru in a night shift on me next week! man a monday night and i work at midnight!! but at least im off at 7am.

what the hell

so yesterday really sucked. I went to the dr and that was all fine and dandy. my spots aren't contagious and they are going away!! yay!
but then my phone died. it won't charge.
i ran into my bed buddy type deal guy, who has been out of town for 2 months. he hasn't let me know he's back yet. He was with another girl that wasn't his sister, but i have sneaking suspusion that it was his ex from Red Deer.
then the guy i met at the wedding the weekend before last emails me and says that he has time to go out with me this weekend b/c his GIRLFRIEND is going back to saskatchewan!!!

Today WILL be better.
